Save on Fitting and Welding

Save on Fitting and Welding

Employing skilled welders for making a result; marking, manual cutting and grinding, is a waste of talent. These welders are also expensive and hard to find. The SPC series automates this work so that your welders can do what they do best, the welding.
Ensuring a save workspace

Ensuring a save workspace

The unique fume extraction system combines local fume extraction with through-pipe extraction, providing maximum operator protection.

CAD Connection

CAD Connection

Using the existing CAD model is a vital step to start working more  efficiently. Our pipe cutting machine is equipped with a software package developed by HGG, which can connect to your design system and generate NC files.

3D Profiling shapes

A selection of cutting shapes for pipe connections:

Chamfer

A tube-to-plate connection.

Rotatable slot

To connect plates on both sides of the pipe or create square slots.

Offshore saddle

A pipe-to-pipe connection with an angle of less than 50°, based on AWS for the offshore industry.

Saddle set-in & Hole set-in

Pipe connections with different pipe diameters, suitable for high pressure.

PJP saddle

For low-angle and high-dynamically loaded tube-to-tube connections. Easy to cut, fit and weld.

Pipe profiling applications

What is your main concern in the manufacturing process? Is it the complexity of the design, poor production speed, inefficient logistics of the material with too much material loss, loss of control over finances, or the shortage of skilled craftsmen? And how do you deal with the high expectations of the customer and the regulations regarding welded constructions?

Steel construction

The materials used differ per project. The solution for stationary machines is a versatile machine. Methods used in the past have a maximum of only 10 to 20 tons per day, compared to the SPC tube cutter which can process more than 40 tons of steel per day.
Industry application: profiling pipes for stadiums, bridges, amusement parks, exhibition buildings, airport spans, crane booms, and trusses

Process industry

HGG’s SPC pipe cutting machine automates and simplifies the way construction companies supply their welding booths with pipes cut within tolerances, without welders wasting their time fitting. Profiling pipes for an 82-hole header with weld preparation typically takes about 26 hours. With the SPC pipe cutting machine this is reduced to 2 hours.
Industry Application: Pipe profiling for skids, frames, spools, manifolds, piping, headers, pipe bends, boilers, nozzles

Offshore

More and more offshore construction companies are solving their deadline-driven production challenges by automating their cutting processes. With manual cutting, a helideck consisting of 95 tubes can be cut in 240 hours. With the HGG SPC pipe cutting machine, a helideck is cut in less than 40 hours.
Industry application: profiling pipes for Jackets, Jack-ups, Helidecks, support structures, pipe racks, boat landings

Ship-building

The SPC 500–1200 PT proves it’s worth in the shipbuilding industry by speeding up the production of nozzles, frames, and boilers. By automating this process, you not only produce faster, but also make sure you get the best out of your craftsmen by letting them do what they do best. This way, the production of 15 nozzles, which normally takes 13 hours, can be reduced to an hour.
Industry Application: Pipe profiling for skids, frames, spools, manifolds, piping, headers, pipe bends, boilers, nozzles
