I, Martin van Loo, am very happy to introduce myself as HGG’s Regional Sales Manager responsible for Europe and Russia since January 1st this year. Born in The Netherlands, 48 years ago and I have always lived in The Netherlands to. I am married and have 2 tall daughters of 15 and 12 years. Working from home I am confident with as well as being in the office as much as possible. From home I can easily travel by car into Germany and the airports Amsterdam and Düsseldorf are both close by within 1,5h drive. Europe and Russia have been an important market for HGG in the past 36 years and still are. With my team of Sales Managers, Sales Engineers and partners/resellers in many European countries, I am looking forward promoting and shipping many more HGG 3D profiling machines into this region in the next years.
Our proven 3D cutting technology and the high level of technologic knowledge in HGG is becoming very known in many countries in Europe and Russia and worldwide!.
Being part of the four (4) Regional Sales Managers (Europe/ Asia/ ME/ USA) worldwide, which is meeting about strategic, commercial and marketing plans every week, is fantastic.
Taking over this RSM position of Daan van Dee, who has been in this position for 11 years, I am happy he is taking another responsible role in HGG as channel manager, so keeps part of the company.
More about Martin van Loo:
As a mechanical engineer I graduated in 1996, so I started my carrier in commercial/technical sales almost 25 years ago. My main commercial/technical sales experience I gained in the Dutch/German company/ manufacturer Gietart/Kaltenbach where I was Area Sales Manager for Shotblasting and Painting Equipment for many countries within Europe for 10 years. Within this 10 years I also had the lead over the four (4) Project Managers as Manager Projects for 1,5 years.
In my previous job, over the last 8 years, I was Sales Director EMEA and Managing Director of Thern Europe BV. I set up the European Sales and Warehouse structure for the American company Thern Winches&Cranes Inc. The main Industries we served were Oil&Gas and General Lifting Industry. As the Managing Director, I was involved in sales, looking for new resellers, training resellers, visit key-accounts in Europe, UAE, India and managing the Dutch office. My sales responsibilities were EMEA, partly Asia and New Zealand.
For both companies I travelled for business to almost all countries in Europe, but also UAE, USA, India and Brazil.
